Happy 2021 from all of us at Teddy Bear Children’s Dentistry. As 2021 begins, we feel the excitement of all the possibilities and newness that awaits us! In today’s blog, we look ahead and plan for the months to come.
In the office, our goal is to increase scheduling days by being open more days of the week in the hopes of having patients in more frequently. Another goal is to increase the number of new patients and be known for the excellent care the team provides. We’ve also considered making a few new aesthetic changes to the office this year. Thinking of ways we can ensure our patients comfort, safety, and enjoyment while they see us is one of our top priorities.
Many of us set health goals at the beginning of each new year. If you are challenging yourself to improve your dental health this year, Dr. Da Fonseca has a few suggestions for you. First and foremost, dental health always starts with nutrition so we encourage you to establish and maintain a healthy diet. For a healthy smile, you will want to brush at least twice a day and floss before bed to help dislodge any lingering food particles. We hope you will motivate yourself to improve your beautiful smile in 2021.
Dr. Da Fonseca also has her own personal health goals for 2021. In the new year, she wants to continue making healthier food choices. It can be difficult at times but the long-term benefits of a healthy diet are indisputable. She is hopeful that after the vaccination is administered throughout the overall population that gyms, fitness studios, and yoga studios will be opened and she will be able to resume her pre-pandemic lifestyle of more frequent activities.
The last year was like nothing anyone has experienced before. It was truly a historic time. The new year isn’t so much about setting goals rather than wishes, hopes, and positive thoughts for what the future can hold now people have begun to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Dr. Da Fonseca can’t wait to travel again and visit her family and friends. She eagerly looks forward to post-pandemic life, when restaurants and all small businesses are able to be opened, concerts and performances recommence, and children can return to school safely and enjoy seeing their friends again. A return to normalcy in 2021 will be so special after the turbulence of 2020.
Every year Dr. Da Fonseca challenges herself to keep current with the latest improvements in the field of pediatric dentistry. This year, Dr. Da Fonseca is hoping to attend in-person continuing education courses in addition to the online courses offered. There have been a lot of new advancements in the treating of MIH (chalky teeth or soft enamel) she can’t wait to learn about!
For the next two months, our office will be running a new patient special. Please call the office at (818) 716-8424 for more information.
Healthy smiles and happy thoughts to all with the hopes of being able to hug one another again and spend time with each other once more without the threat of a global virus! Here’s to a fantastic 2021.
