All the Teddy Bear Staff and Dr. Da Fonseca love Halloween! It's one of the office's favorite days to enjoy! Our office decorations will be inspired by one of our favorite Halloween movies. Come in and try to guess what movie it is, maybe you’ll get a special treat.
Watching the Halloween Baking Championships and Halloween Wars on The Food Network and seeing all of the cool artistry and creativity is an office favorite. But above all, the kid's Halloween movies will always be the first pick. There are so many great movies to watch. A few movies we love watching during the spooky season include, Frankenweenie, Hocus Pocus, Addams Family, Hotel Transylvania, The Haunted Mansion, Twilight, Harry Potter.
Visiting Pumpkin Patches, discovering new Trader Joe's October treats, and of course, maple donuts from some of our favorite donut shops are the best things to do during this time. But the real star of the show at this time is anything Pumpkin! Pumpkin Spice Lattes, pumpkin soufflé, warm maple pumpkin pie with ice cream, pumpkin spice cake, and Dr. Da Fonseca cannot miss pumpkin pancakes during the season. And as a fun treat, Dr. Da Fonseca enjoys delicious pumpkin pralines introduced to her by her husband. Yummm this is making all of us hungry!
Speaking of pumpkins, it is never too early to start carving some spooky ghosts and scary faces into our pumpkins. Dr. Da Fonseca is toying around with the idea of taking a pumpkin carving class to learn how to make the spookiest and scariest pumpkins.
Even though the yummiest time of the year is just around the corner, patients should be aware of the sticky treats such as gummy bears or sour patches or skittles or starburst or toffee because those types of candies tend to stay stuck in between teeth for a long time if good overall oral hygiene and flossing are not done after consuming them. And don’t forget to get a regular cleaning especially after consuming ghostly treats this Halloween. Feel free to call our office and book and try to do it well in advance because of holiday closures coming up. And with the end of the year coming up don’t forget to take advantage of all of your dental insurance benefits before they expire, as they cannot roll over into the new year.
We hope to see all of your friendly faces soon and cannot wait to hear about your Halloween on your next visit!
